Borrowing from Andre Gunter Frank, I call this class as lumpen bourgeois class, who are the high wage earners and hence the part of working class but harbour the illusion of being part of ruling class. In revolutionary circumstances, as it happened in 1871 revolution (Paris) and 1905 &1917 (Russia), a substantial section of this class realizes its real identity as a worker and moves to stand with its class.
