DU 16 (Education and Knowledge 6)

A casteist like the VC, Dinesh Singh, cant be a mathematician. Primordial axioms are in contradiction with mathematical theorems. A casteist mathematician is contradiction in terms.  Anyone having a degree in mathematics does not become a mathematician. I fondly remember with a sense of agreement, my high school maths' teacher's first statement in the class, "mathematics is that branch of knowledge, which trains our mind for clear thinking and reasoning." Unfortunately, under the existing scheme of teaching  Science/ maths (This equally applies to other disciplines too) are very mechanically taught and instead of imparting scientific/mathematical knowledge and temperament, it equips students with information and skill to maintain the statuesque. Happenings otherwise are not due to but despite it.
