Gujarat and Muzaffarnagar
There is difference between Gujrat 2002 and Muzaffarnagar 2014. UP could not be Gujarat as aimed by Sanghi lumpens Amit Shah on behest of Modi and the lumpen Gorakhpur BJP MP, Adityanath. Right since 2002, the Sangh Giroh has been giving slogans like, "Faizabad Shuruat karega/UP ab Gujrat Banega but they could not succeed beyond some murders and the loss of some property. Salutes to the good senses that prevailed in the citizens and the fascist designs of communal corporate agents were foiled. In Muzaffaranagar, they adopted the same methods of arson, plunder, murder, rape as in Gujarat, leading the similar results of rendering poor Muslims refugees in their own land and subsequent ghettoization. The difference is that the communal polarization of the society could not be as pervasive. It has been confined to 10-12 Jat dominated villages of RSS influence. In many other Jat dominated neighboring villages like Kheda-Gani, apprehending trouble from outsiders, reached the poor Muslims of their villages to some nearby Muslim dominated village and took them back when the dust settled down. In Gujarat the marauders were the lumpen proletariat led by landed rich Patels. In Muzaffarnagar the invaders were the landed, rich Jats led by themselves. The involvement of other upper classes/castes (Tyagi/Brahmin) and lower castes/classes was almost nil. Another difference is that in Gujarat it was state sponsored whereas in Muzaffarnagar, as we have shown in our report, the state is just in tacit alliance with the communal fascists. Yet another difference is that in Gujarat, the target was Muslim community as a whole, here it is only landless lower castes/classes - the laborers, artisans and craft persons. No upper caste/class Muslim was targeted. It is a class war in the disguise of communalism. The sigh of relief is that there were no retaliation in neighboring Muslim dominated villages, on the contrary, in the crisis, they came closer with enhanced sense of composite community, reinforcing the general commitment to the age old composite culture. The twin villages Muhammadpur Raisingh and Hussainpur are the glaring examples of this contrast. Let us unite, fight and win. The fascist designs must be foiled, otherwise the future generations will never forgive us.
