Maths

You people met bad maths teacher (most of them are like that), who do not know  to teach maths, which is that branch of knowledge that trains our mind for clear thinking and reasoning. It is about analytically application of mind to dialectically unite precision and comprehension. But unfortunately most of the parents and teachers instead of promoting the application of mind systematically and structurally demote it and implicitly blunt the inquisitive and innovative faculties of children. I was lucky to have some really good maths teachers -- PN Singh and Ranjit Singh (High School and Intermediate respectively at TDS Inter College) and Prof T. Pati and of course, most memorable and adorable Prof BL Sharma at AU . If you have done mathematics as a science with its underlying philosophical principles, you can venture into any other discipline but not vice-versa. I joined MA in Political Science in JNU with quite ease after doing Maths from AU. I was teaching Maths at DPS while doing my research in Political Science. at JNU. If you meet anyone from DPS RKPuram (1981-85 batches) he/she will tell you that maths is a very interesting subject.
