No one is abusing Hinduism or Hindu community that is an imaginary community as no one is born Hindu; one is born as a Brahman; Shudra or something else. Anxieties and apprehension of breaking of its social hegemony by the abolition of its monopoly over scriptures and self defined knowledge with universal access to knowledge, an inadvertent positive consequence of colonial rule, the parasite Brahman class devised the mischief of constructing the concept of Hindutva to defend the Brahmanical privileges values by force of a constructed inclusive including the wretched of the earth, the untouchables. When I say that Brahmanism has been responsible not only for the degradation of the society and intellectual stagnation but also weakening it to be easy prey to foreign aggressors by reserving the right to arms and education to a minuscule minority and subjecting the vast working population to inhuman conditions, I am making a self criticism. No one is condemning Gita but just critically analyzing it as a text as it has come down to us. It is a text that eulogizes Varnashram and prescribes absolute, uncritical faith in and unconditional devotion to the concept of the Absolute.It discourages and demotes application of mind that distinguishes humans from animal kingdom. Critical analysis of a text is not abuse to it but an honor. Regards.
