This is a comment on a post of an American student of mine on Modi's candidature for the PM decided by RSS instead of leaving it for the majority of MPs and the fascist kind of middle class intolerant euphoria as seen of social networking forums like fb. I shall try to develop it into an article.
CAG report has exposed the facade of development with Gujarat leaving behind the most miserable countries like Somalia and Ethiopia in mal and undernourishment of children; higher par capita income and highest number of BPL people. In fact PCI and GNP are jargon to fool people. Excessive income of the rich is divided by the entire population and the wealth of few rich as the wealth of the nation respectively. According to CAG report, abundance of peoples' resources have been sold out by Narendra Modi government at throw away prices with so many other incentives and subsidies. The conditions of Land deal and other terms of land deal with Tata at Singur were made public but in Gujarat it was kept as "business secret" and when it was known it was shockingly anti-national and anti-people. Tata was given a loan of Rs. 16,700 (Approximately 1/4th of Guarat's annual budget) crores for 20 years at an interest rate of 0.1% with an offer of 4 lane road and subsidization in electricity; the registration and the transfer taxes. Not only this the treatment plant and the seavege pipe were to be built on the state expanses and 100 acres of land for the township near Ahmadabad. That is to say Tata was given in all 30 crores of soft loan prompting him to say that those industrialist who do not venture in Gujarat are fools. If the amount pocketed by Tata and other corporate was spent to eradicate mal-nutrition the condition of the children of Gujarat with 44.7% malnutrition would not be more miserable than the poorest African countries Ethiopia(34.6%) and Somalia( 32.8%). Because of mismanagement and corruption out of a total of 2401.612 Ton grain that was rotten in government stores Gujarat accounts for 195 Metric ton that would have helped in improving the nutrition problem but the government was busy in computer manipulation to oust 7 lakhs people from the BPL list. According to an statistics provided by government, quoted in Indian Express (4July 2012), number of people below poverty line in 2000 were 23.29 lakhs that went up to 30.49 lakhs in 2012. According to Sample survey report 2011, the average expansion of Gujarati people on higher has progressively decreased due to loss of average income. All the labour laws not only in SEZs but in all the production and mining sector have been given a good bye under Ricardo's IRON LAWS OF WAGES. Similarly the land grab for corporate and repression of people have been common feature of his development plank. Yes the Corporate have developed and income of Tats and Ambanis have multiplied many fold that is why hew is favorite of global corporate and its media that wants to make him a brand. I have challenged the intellectuals of the world to quote one word or deed from the fascist butcher who presided over genocide and most heinous crimes of gang rapes and burning people alive that proves him visionary or eligible for becoming the PM of so called largest democracy that is headed by a manj who represents no one but world bank. According to an officer of Gujarat during that time, " I do not know any such riot that witnessed sexual assault on women as an instrument of violence at such a large scale as in Gujarat. The reports of gang rapes were pouring from all the corners .... Often women and girls were raped in front of their family members followed by their murder with hammer or burning alive. In one case screw driver was used for murder...."
Narendra Modi symbolizes the degeneration of middle class culture in Gujarat. Fascism is always preferable to corporate than constitutional government, Italy and Germany have showed the way. I wonder on the quality of education that so many educated duffers have been singing eulogy of this fascist criminal without putting forward any substantiated argument as they refrain from using their own mind.
