Most of the colleges, as it appears, are going to reappoint the adhocs ho worked till the last day of the last session, those colleges which are not doing so must be pressurized by DUTA, so that they'd get the summer salary but the regular interviews should be held at the earliest possible. Prolonged adhocism is not only continuous is cause of anxiety to adhocs but in most cases makes formal interviews farcical, I too support priority to the incumbent, at least on compassionate ground and also as we, the permanents, are not the Socrates, either. The priority should be given by way of according them parity with others in the interview despite the inequality accruing to them through experience that must have, as I have said earlier elsewhere, helped them improve their articulation/communication/expression skills and knowledge of the subject. Appointment of one wrong person as a teacher is not only injustice to many generations of the students but also to the academic atmosphere.
