JNU

In the last quarter of the last century

An institution was born for critical learning

and scientific temper

by an Act of the parliament.

It was named JNU

after an scholar of eminence

and a visionary leader.

Soon it became breeding ground

of reason and rationality;

of a democratic academic culture

and launched the journey of its metamorphosis

from institution to an Idea

and became an eyesore of

all hues of moralists and zealots.

They indulged in to Goebbelsianism

"Wine and women are free in JNU"

Few took propaganda as truth

and visited to the campus

in search of free women,

equipped with their own wine and the MCP mindset

as no one was unwelcome without request

they met free women and got freely thrashed

and went back with a new realization

JNU girls are free not only as they freely wield pen

but can equally freely use their fist too

and disillusioned with the theory of weaker sex.
