The Price of the Bread

मित्रों "रोटी का दाम" शीर्षक की अपनी  तुकबंदी का मैंने अंग्रेजी अनुवाद का प्रयास किया है जो कि अपने ही किसी लेखन के पद्यात्मक अनुवाद का मेरा पहला प्रयास है.भाषागत एवं अन्य  सुधार के सुझावों के लिये कृतग्य महसूस करूँगा.

The Price of a bread

Counselled a noble man to a poet in a biblical tone
Helping poor shall invite the curse of stupor in Society.

Giving a bread to this girl dying from hunger
is to make the species of poor a sluggish lump  of mass.

The poet answered non-poetically
Why is your belly so fat sir?

This is the unfounded vanity of the affluent
as hunger is just a theoretical concept to him.

This is cribbing of the species of the gainfully unemployed
who echo the queen, eat the cake if you don't have the bread.

This is the preaching of those in love with the world
in which the producer begs for a bread.

The distraught girl crying for a bread
does not lack the laboring power and creative will.

If  was the labor guarantee of the bread
She would climb the peaks of Everest

She is hungry not because she has parasitic nature
But because the wankers control the means of labour

If the hording of bread by scoundrels stops
there would be no dignified hand stretched to beg a bread.

Let us together wage a war against hunger
and create a new world of human emancipation
a world in which there are no sky scrappers and no slums
a world in which workers are not freed from means of labour
a world in which no one starves and there is no gainfully unemployed
