Please do not take it otherwise, it is not drastically different elsewhere, but Americans are worst in understanding/comprehending the political economy; sociology and human nature and dignity. I had written a poem in Hindi on a post on fb with a picture, of a beautiful girl in thatchers with grim expressions and stretched hands begging for a bread. The pic was accompanied by a well argued poetry advising people not to make her more fragile by giving her bread but she should work it out for herself. My poetry in response has argued that she is not hungry because she does not want to work but because the means of labour are owned by scoundrels who do not work at all. Capitalism/liberalism is bastard system. it does not do what it says, it does not say what it does. It provides your with freedom to choice of occupation but appropriates all the means of that choice to itself. Rest again. Last sentence: All the human beings wish to live, given a choice, a life of dignity and realization of their creative potentialities but they cant under the system of wage slavery under capitalism. A worker is free in twin ways: He is free to sell his labour and equally free to kill himself.
