A friend, a squadron leader, living in Subroto Park Air force mess. He was court marshaled on the charge of AWL in non-mobile age. One day a man appeared before him and informed him that he was his lawyer and that the things have been already decided, better that he confessed everything, while huge had nothing to confess. I have all the respect for armed forces but as common human beings they too are susceptible to commit crimes, that too when their training does not allow use of mind and promotes to act on order. If such crimes go unpunished (more than 2,000, cases of rape and fake encounter are pending for approval in Home from Manipur alone alone). What patriotism was Gen.
