. On one post of Sharad Yadav's apprehension of the misuse of  anti-rape law, many people agreed with Yadavji with the argument that the girls themselves want and invite stalking by direct/indirect hints. I am pasting here my comment:

   Fear on this thread has already sounded by Sharad Yadav in the Parliament. The root cause of sexual harassment is set of patriarchal values orchestrated and perpetuated by myths, idioms, phrases rituals and practices. No word or proverb is value free but value loaded. You statement "value teji se ghat jayega..". Knowingly/inadvertently your statement is objectifying the female personality. This simply implies that in the process of your learning you have not been able to unlearn the the "acquired moralities" and replace them by rational ones. Education is not only about learning but also unlearning many attributes that we have inherited/acquired in the process of  growing up without our conscious will. We carry them on because we do not question them; seek their proof and intellectually stagnate. If the "harassment" is "invited and consensual', why do you fear this this law. If one has invited you to stalk her why would she complain?
