When ever there is choice between being correct and being popular/unpopular, one must have courage and self-confidence to choose to be correct, unpopularity is very unstable. Even if lasts longer, you have the superior moral pleasure of being correct, despite odds. I do not mind, rather enjoy being in minuscule minority or one-versus-all situation, as long as I am convinced about the righteousness of my stand. Similarly, if there is choice between being correct and facing difficulty, choose to be correct difficulties would ease away. (otherwise also, everyone can do the easy things, try the difficult ones.)
Correctness is not absolute and quantifiable notion but a relative, qualitative concept and particular correctness depends upon the particular historical context and considerations. For me, basic preconditions of arriving at relatively correct decisions; talking correct actions; and uttering correct words are: 1. Honesty introspection by questioning one's own mindset and consequent self-criticism; 2. total transcendence of personal considerations while performing public obligations, including writing on the FB; 3. Resolution of the contradiction of praxis, that is, establishment of unity between theory and practice; 4. being democratic; transparent and honest in words and deeds; 5. Respect for everyone's right to equality, at least, in terms of basic human dignity, ass talent is a natural endowment, no one should be looked up or down for having or not having it; and 6. Juxtaposition.
